The Tropical Australian Academic Health Centre is incorporated as a company limited by guarantee.
This brings together Members in a unified company and governance structure to enhance health and health services research in the region, leveraging economies of scale and the proven opportunities of the Academic Health Centre concept for northern Queensland. TAAHC is registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission as the Tropical Australian Academic Health Centre Limited.
Each member of TAAHC has appointed two Directors to the TAAHC Board. The TAAHC Board is responsible for the overall governance, management and strategic direction of TAAHC. Emeritus Professor Ian Wronski AO is the independent Chair of the TAAHC Board.
